Tom Hanks Shares His Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis on David Letterman

Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors of all time. I have followed his career for years and he has not disappointed me yet. He is also one of the few in Hollywood who has a successful long term marriage. Still married to Rita Wilson for 25 years, I was impressed how he talked about his wife recently during an interview. He had mentioned that she deserves better and he is lucky to have her. It is clear that he adores his wife and appreciates her. We can all learn from Tom. My all time favorite Tom Hanks movies are Big and Forrest Gump. Most everyone I know has a favorite movie that he has starred in.  Today I saw the clip from the David Letterman show that had Tom Hanks sharing his recent diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes. According to the American Diabetes Association, ” 25.8 million children and adults in the United States—8.3% of the population—have diabetes.”  It is unfortunate that Tom Hanks has Type 2 diabetes but it just proves he is human like the rest of us and subject to all of the illness and disease that seems to plague us. The first thing I wanted to do when I found out about Tom Hanks diagnosis was to give him some XO healthy chocolate.  I know that sounds odd that I would want to give him chocolate when he is now diabetic, however this is not the normal candy chocolate you find in the store.  This chocolate is a cold pressed version that has not been heated or dutched like traditional chocolate.  In fact, the owner of the company who makes this product is a diabetic herself.  She wanted a product that diabetics could enjoy and that would help improve their health.  Just one power square is only 33 calories.  A daily serving offers 1740 mg of flavonoids and a total ORACfn score of 49,464.  (The antioxidant value of eating 8-10 servings of fruits or vegetables) Eating healthy matters.  Eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables is good for you.  Unfortunately for many of us with busy schedules just like Tom Hanks, it is hard for us to find the time to maintain a healthy diet.  That is why I make sure my family is eating XO healthy chocolate.  Even Bill O’Reilly of the O’Reilly Factor on Fox was talking about the XO Xe energy drink, another option to get the antioxidants you need.  However you get your antioxidants is fine.  I like mine in Chocolate.  Samples are available!  If you would like a 3 pack of the XO Xe Energy drink, order your sample here.  If you would prefer a sample of our solid chocolates, you can get your sample here. I hope that Tom Hanks is able to control his type 2 diabetes.  Maybe he is reading my blog post right now and ordering his sample of healthy chocolate!  If you are reading this Tom, you will love the Xe Energy drink and the XO Nuggets.  Actually, David Letterman says he also suffers from high blood sugar, so I hope he checks our chocolates out as well. I am Lynette Henk, XO healthy chocolate lover.  I eat and share healthy chocolate for a photo 1living.  Contact me with any questions at (877) 208-8172, at [email protected] or visit MyChocolateVitamins to order direct.
