It used to be that the only people that could afford to cruise were those in the upper income brackets. Now the deals are so plentiful that all of us can afford to cruise if we follow a few simple guidelines. Don’t even think of paying retail for a cruise. There are so many deals out there that you are sure to find an amazing deal.

There are many affordable cruise lines including Carnival, NCL and Royal Caribbean. Cruises are actually one of the most affordable vacations available. That is because they include your meals and most activities on the ship.

If you are a heavy drinker, you will be spending a pretty penny on alcohol. I prefer iced tea and lemonade and these drinks are included in every cruise line I have ever cruised with. You can even enjoy free room service which I find to be completely divine.

The most important thing to remember is that you need to be flexible with your dates. If you can go on a cruise last minute, you will save significantly. Once you have cruised you will be considered a Past Guest. This will allow you to receive significant savings on future cruises. I personally feel that a cruise vacation is less expensive that a trip to Disney World once you factor in your hotel in Orlando or Kissimmee, enjoying meals in Lake Buena Vista and paying for all of your entertainment and a rental car.

Don’t assume you can’t afford a cruise because most likely you can!   I can be reached at 941-216-5727 or via email at lynette @ liveforchocolate.com
