Residents of Fort Myers and Naples in SW Florida will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday January 21st with parades and celebrations.  

In Naples you can attend the 15th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. parade starting at 11 a.m. Monday in downtown Naples.  The parade starts at Broad Avenue South and Third Street South.  The parade will make its way on Third Street South and then will go up Fifth Avenue South. The MLK Day Parade ends at Cambier Park on Eighth Street South.

After the MLK Parade in Naples, the celebration will continue at Cambier Park and will last until 3 p.m.  The Naples annual parade celebration is hosted by the NAACP of Collier County and the city of Naples.

The Lee County parade in Fort Myers starts at 10 a.m. at Dunbar Jupiter-Hammon Library which is located at 3095 Blount Street in Fort Myers, Florida. This celebration has been co-sponsored by Lee County Black History Society and Fort Myers.  The Fort Myers celebration will follow at Centential Park and goes until 5 p.m.
