lynetteweightlossI don’t know about you, but I have pretty much spent my entire life on a diet and the never ending quest to be thin and healthy.  Honestly dieting is no way to live your life. Finally about five years ago I just gave up. I decided no more dieting, not now, not ever. I figured some people were just meant to be heavy and I was one of them.

The problem I have with dieting is the feeling of always having to give everything up. No, you can’t have the lasagna, no you can’t have pizza. No you can’t have that burger, that drink, that milkshake. You just get tired of always denying yourself and still not reaching your goal anyway.

About three years ago I was introduced to XO healthy chocolate. Honestly I was not too interested in it as I had made a point of not eating chocolate because it was too many calories. However, once I found out that this cold pressed chocolate was actually good for me, I changed my mind. I learned that I could eat a XO power square without the guilt thanks to the fact that it is only 33 calories per piece. No guilt there at all!

I have suffered with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue for many years. Once I realized that the XO Cold Pressed Chocolate is a high antioxidant superfood that reduces inflammation, I knew this was for me. I noticed health benefits from increasing antioxidants and I won’t live without it. About a year after I started eating the chocolate, XO came out with a Weight loss meal replacement shake.  Once it was featured on the cover of the American Journal of Bariatric Medicine I was sold. The average person lost well over 30 pounds in 3 months and even better, they lost it while eating dark chocolate and a healthy dark chocolate shake.  Some of the heavier individuals lost over 50 pounds in 3 months!

I know I said I would never diet again, but this actually seemed possible. I eat chocolate whenever I want, I have yummy XO Fearless28 diet shakes for breakfast and lunch, eat a normal 600 calorie dinner and a 200 calorie snack if I want. Did I mention the shakes are so good that I crave them?  I mean I wake up after two years later just craving that shake! Hardly a diet of sacrifice!

There are many diets out there. You can starve yourself, enjoy a liquid diet, low carb diets, cookie diets, 800 calorie diets, paleo diets and more. What is most important is that you find a healthy diet option. The goal in losing weight is usually to improve your health along with the actual weight loss, not really to lose weight and become ill because you ate a poor diet. Some diets can seriously put your health at risk. That is why I was so thrilled to see that this XO Chocolate Shake diet was featured on the cover of the American Journal of Bariatric Medicine. That is rare to find for sure.

I am currently dieting with my XO Meal Replacement shake. I have lost well over 50 pounds and have about 70 to go. I know it is possible with this plan. I feel better eating this high antioxidant, high protein, vegan, gluten free shake. I enjoy mine with 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 tsp. peanut butter, 1 cup ice, 1 cup water and 2 scoops of the XO shake. I would be happy to email you XO shake recipes so you can enjoy them too.
